Cleaner Fuels Alliance
Purpose of the Alliance
The purpose of the Cleaner Fuels Alliance is to assist in driving a greater understanding of, and appreciation for, the cleaner fuel sector in Australia with the intention of building a commercially viable industry for the sector.
Objectives BA Cleaner Fuels Alliance
Within the definition of cleaner fuels:
- Assist in the development of the annual advocacy strategy relating to cleaner fuels
- Provide advice on the opportunities and challenges for the cleaner fuels sector in Australia
- Drive forward opportunities relating to the cleaner fuels sector in Australia
- Contribute to the preparation of submissions to government
- Advise on opportunities and focus areas for events, programs, campaigns and topics for the conference
- Engage with the membership in knowledge-sharing and advise on topics for seminars, meetings, workshops, webinars, website information etc.
Membership BA Cleaner Fuels Alliance
- A minimum of one BA Board Director
- A BA staff member (ex-officio)
- Foundation, Major, Standard or Startup Members involved in the fuel industry
- A Chair shall be elected by the Alliance annually and ratified by the BA Board
- The quorum for a meeting of the Alliance is five members
- The Alliance must adhere to the BA Policies and Procedures in the areas of the Alliance’s remit.
- The Alliance shall provide a written report to the CEO for the BA Board four times a year.
Meetings
- To facilitate its work the Alliance is to hold face-to-face or teleconference meetings at least 4 times a year.
- Members must attend at least two meetings a year to remain on the Alliance.
- Meeting agendas are to be set by the Chair in consultation with the Alliance members.
- The minutes of a teleconferences and face-to-face meetings should contain only decisions, recommendations and actions.
