Sustainable aviation fuel taking off globally
As global travel begins to recover from the pandemic, attention is once again turning towards sustainable aviation. The industry has set bold goals in this area and has identified the key steps needed to achieve them. The continued introduction of new airplanes into the fleet, improvements in operations and airspace management, and novel airplane designs all have a role to play, but none is more important than sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). We know how to make SAF, and there are seven production pathways approved for commercial use. However, SAF currently makes up less than 1% of the global aviation fuel supply and it is currently more expensive than its fossil-derived equivalent.
How can we get SAF availability at scale quickly? Join us as we explore the opportunities and challenges of scaling SAF globally from both the demand side and the supply side of this complex business imperative.
Moderated by Mark Augustyniewicz from Boeing, please ensure you register for this free online event.
This event is supported by our co-host A4ANZ
