Join this industry forum to explore opportunities to increase the recovery of timber and straw residues for reprocessing into high value products.
The Barwon South West region has some of the highest levels of forestry, sawmill and straw waste in Victoria. This represents a potentially huge opportunity for better recovery and reprocessing.
The session will commence with an introduction of the Australian Biomass for Bioenergy Assessment project, funded by ARENA. This provides guideline data on the quantity of these organic resources available.
The guest presenters will then share examples of emerging opportunities to utilise these resources that would otherwise be wasted, generate jobs and economic benefits for the region.
