Australia's federal government agency for scientific research, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) uses science and research to solve issues and make a difference to industry, people and the planet. CSIRO works with Australian federal, state and local government bodies; small, medium and large businesses; the majority of Research Development Corporations, Cooperative Research Centres and Australian universities, and more than 150 international partners. Activities include R&D supporting advanced renewables and hybrid energy technologies, biomass gassification and hydrogen energy systems (renewable).
