Kalfresh
Kalfresh is a Queensland-based vegetable farming, packing and marketing business serving retail and food service customers across Australia and overseas. Kalfresh farms in seven distinct growing regions in QLD, NSW and Victoria and produces a range of conventional and Certified Organic vegetables, including carrots, beans, onions, sweet corn, pumpkin, baby capsicums and tomatoes.
Kalfresh is in the final stages of a Queensland Government Coordinated planning process to establish the integrated Scenic Rim Agricultural Industrial Precinct at Kalbar, one hour south-west of Brisbane. The Precinct will create a hub for the value-adding of Australian produce in the region where it’s grown. A pivotal part of the Precinct plan is for a Bioenergy Facility using anaerobic digestion to provide renewable power for the Precinct tenants and organic digestate fertiliser for the farming sector.
