Delorean Corporation advances Victorian bioenergy project at critical time for Australia's climate change stance

Highlights:

  • Following commencement of site works in July 2021 Delorean Corporation has gained final council approval and is now moving into construction for the Company’s DEVO Bioenergy Project in Stanhope, Victoria.
  • The bioenergy plant will process organic food and agricultural wastes using anaerobic digestion to create clean energy for local businesses and the community
  • Prime Minister Scott Morrison has committed to net zero by 2050, placing increased attention on bioenergy and other renewables as critical elements to Australia meeting emissions targets
  • Anaerobic digestion is a mature stage technology and environmental cycle that outputs green power and gas, and a by-product of agricultural bio-fertiliser
  • Delorean is pleased to be working with local farmer, John Burke of Waranga Green Energy to deliver the project
  •  In Stage 1, DEVO will process 54,000TPA of organic waste that would otherwise go to landfill, where it could release on average 25 x more methane into the atmosphere
