Western Australia Clean Energy Future Fund

Published Fri 26 Jun 2020

On 30 April 2020, the Minister for Environment, Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC and the Minister for Energy, Hon. Bill Johnston MLA launched the $9.28 million Clean Energy Future Fund (CEFF) to support innovative clean energy projects in Western Australia.

The objective of the CEFF is to support the implementation of innovative clean energy projects in Western Australia that offer high public value through contributing to significant, cost effective reduction in greenhouse gas emissions below projected (or baseline) emissions as a direct result of the clean energy project. The Ministerial priorities for the first funding round of the CEFF are designed to support innovative clean energy projects at significant facilities in regional and remote Western Australia.

The CEFF is administered by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) with support from Energy Policy WA (EPWA). Applications for the first round of funding close at 7am AWST on Monday 13 July 2020.

At an Australian Institute of Energy Perth online event, Ro Richardson (Manager CEFF, DWER) and Erin Coppins (Principal Policy Analyst, EPWA) will present an overview of the CEFF, followed by an audience Q&A. NB due to probity requirements, any questions that require new information to be made available to potential applicants during the Q&A will be taken on notice with the answers published on the DWER website as soon as possible after the presentation and prior to the above closing date. For more information on the CEFF and application details please visit https://dwer.wa.gov.au/ceff.
